Mineral water production: plant price and composition

Mineral water differs from drinking water by the requirements to preserve the natural composition: gentle treatment, degassing and re-carbonation, work with the well. Below are plant configurations and budget structure.

Mineral water is a project around the well. The source composition, yield and the requirement to preserve the natural mineral content determine the scheme and budget more than filling capacity.

How we calculate a mineral water plant

  1. Step 1
    Study the source

Analysis protocol, well yield, seasonal composition stability, iron, hydrogen sulfide and gas content. This is the foundation of the entire project.

  2. Step 2
    Design gentle treatment

The task is to remove unwanted components without destroying the natural mineral composition. Degassing, iron removal, UV instead of aggressive schemes.

  3. Step 3
    Define the product range

Still, lightly and highly carbonated, glass and PET. We calculate carbonation and format compatibility on one line.

  4. Step 4
    Prepare documentation

Balneological opinion, declarations, mineral water marking requirements. Approval timelines affect the launch schedule as much as delivery.

  5. Step 5
    Assemble estimate by stages

Well head and pipeline, treatment, filling, decoration, warehouse. We show phasing: what we launch first, what we add later.

Questions about mineral water production

How is a mineral water line different from drinking water?

Drinking water can be brought to the desired composition by RO; mineral water must be preserved: treatment is minimal and equipment is selected for the specific well analysis.

Can both carbonated and still ranges be produced?

Yes, via a saturator bypass. Plan changeover and separate buffer tanks for each range.

Where does the project start?

From a full water analysis protocol and well yield data. Without them any budget figure is conditional.
